Student applications for the upcoming AVPA conference in February 2025 are now open.
The AVPA student sponsorship program aims to introduce students to the science and technology that occurs in the poultry industry and meet potential future connections that may stimulate their interest in a career in the poultry industry. The program covers the cost of travel, food, accommodation, registration, and other associated costs of a student to attend an upcoming AVPA conference.
Students enrolled in a university in the Australasian region that are studying a veterinary, agricultural or animal science degree are eligible. This includes undergraduate or postgraduate programs on a full-time or part-time basis.
Students must display some interest in poultry and must provide a 300 word essay as to why they would like to attend an upcoming AVPA conference. The student must also include a resume or CV with the submission. A recommendation from a university lecturer or other industry member is also desirable but not mandatory.
