Australian Veterinary Antimicrobial Stewardship Conference 2021

Venue:Intercontinental Sanctuary Cove
Date:Sun, Nov 21 12:00 am

With the ongoing and changing situation around border closures and restrictions across Australia and Internationally, the Committee has made the decision to offer the 2nd AVAMS Conference virtually as well as in-person at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast.

To deliver the virtual conference we will be using a custom-built platform that has been developed to deliver quality virtual and hybrid conferences.  The platform allows you to network with colleagues, engage with sponsors, listen live to the presentations, ask questions to the presenters and much more.

Early bird virtual registrations are $495 full and $200 for full-time students. If you register for in-person but due to government restrictions are unable to attend we will refund the difference between in-person and virtual registration fees. Also if things improve and you are able to attend in-person we can upgrade you to join us.  For any questions please contact the AVAMS Conference Secretariat [email protected].

Draft program and registration information can be found here.

The Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water and Environment will be hosting a pre-conference workshop on ‘The future of antimicrobial usage data collection in Australia’ on Sunday 21st November prior to the opening of the AVAMS conference.

Due to ongoing COVID-19 travel restrictions, the department will now run the workshop as a virtual event.

Attendance to the pre-conference workshop is part of AVAMS registration. If registering just for the pre-conference workshop, please contact the AVAMS Conference Secretariat [email protected].
