We will all miss Peter Murray, the founder of Allfarm Animal Health. Peter had been in deteriorating health over the last year, and died in hospital on 30 Jan 2014.

He was the loved and respected father of Branka and Daniel, grandfather of Charlotte, Edward, Pia and Hazel. He was a great and generous friend to many and his family thanks the old, loyal and honourable friends who Peter loved and were so incredibly important in his life. Their thanks go also to those who called, visited and cared for him, over the last few years and supported Peter through some very difficult times.

Allfarm Animal Health confirms that Peter Murray has completed his Terrestrial Apprenticeship in Business Management. His graduation awards included top marks for Staff Selection and Customer Reward Experiences. Peter will be missed by Tracie, Raelene, Jim, Margaret and Grant whose lives are no longer under scrutiny. This one in a million man will be missed by us all here at Allfarm. Peter has moved on to higher things, and it is our understanding that he has his eye on the top job!

His funeral was attended by poultry people from egg laying and commercial enterprises. This was an endorsement of  his contribution to poultry since the 1960s. He started Allfarm in the early days when every broiler received Tylan and he supplied vitamins, antibiotics, vaccines, rodent baits and cleaning products from then on. He was passionate about servicing the small specialist sections of the poultry industry, and developed a client base including specialist birds, finches, pigeons, and for good measure ovines, bovines and piscines. He was able to communicate with all these sectors with equal ease. Last year he sold his business with the condition it remain as he had started it. This is a tradition Margaret and I will be proud to keep.   GRANT RICHARDS
